Why don't you add the source code for this project to TFS/SVN so that the community can actually see the state of development and contribute! Isn't this the point of Codeplex (note the use of the word CODE in the site's title). I know you can get the source code via the installer, but apparently somebody on your team missed the memo regarding open source and community.

Sorry for annoy your team, but I really interresting in your project. I have 2 questions.

1. I cannot compile the project (The first time I can, but I uninstall and remove DB, then reinstall again).

Could not load file or assembly

'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.

The system cannot find the file specified. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Tackle\web.config

Any suggestion? I use visual studio 2008 with AjaxToolkit 3.0

2. The reason I reinstall because I cannot see the Administrator features. I confused with the document that said

"Enter into this field the alias of the person who will be the administrator of the Tackle instance." What I need to enter?

Is it the window user name? I know this is very stupid question caused I try to search on the forum but the explanation still uncleard.

If it use the windows user name, document just say exactly, and if use the windows account, why don't the Installer take care this part?

First time I install, I enter 'admin', I found it in the user table (tblUser) but I cannot use the admin features. The forum say to try to add an account, so i use

the administrator (the Windows user account of mine) but still cannot use admin features.

I installed Tackle on our Windows 2003 SP2 web server. The
installation went well - no errors or warnings encountered.

The database was installed on a Windows 2003 server with SQL Server
2005. The database name is Tackle. I entered my SQL Server user name
(myUserID), which is incidentally my NT domain user ID as well.

When I invoked the main web page the first time, the application
displayed a Tackle session timed out error message. Since then, when
I go to the home page, I have minimal rights - like guest mode.
With tne updated master pages, this is what I see in the right hand corner of the page:
Welcome: as ReadOnly

Is there a way to get a report of of all Backlog items for a product without regard to the completed state?
Currently I'm using the database directly.

All the source code for the website and the database is included when you install Tackle. So get it installed and all the C# files for the web site are installed with the website. The stored procs are all in the database.

Look in the web.config file and see what the session timeout value is set to. It's supposed to be 480 minutes.

I have a user thats saying his session is timing out before he can complete adding products. Is there a Tackle setting or an IIS setting I can tweak to have a longer session timeout?

We're just getting started with Tackle. We installed it, we can browse to the home page and help page (for example), but the login indicator always reads: Welcome: <NT username> as ReadOnly (see attached screenshot)

The web server is on our domain, we have tried both local machine and domain accounts, the domain accounts are members of the local Administrators group -- and there is no mention anywhere on the CodePlex site (in Discussions or Issue Tracker) of this problem.

Can you please share what did you do to get rid of the "ReadOnly" problem. I checked the tblUser. The Admin user has permission level of 1 which is equivalent to administrator.

I have IIS7 - but did not have the II6 compatibility installed. After installing the all II6 compatibility options the install completed.
